Aylesford awards

It’s been 38 years since Greg Wilkes turned up for his first day at the Aylesford Workshop in his Mini 1000, and 30 years since Andrew Carter arrived in his Mk1 Fiesta, but on Friday 22 August, Guy Parsons marked their long service anniversaries with certificates and champagne.

Greg, who joined the workshop on leaving the Royal Engineers, said that although the equipment has changed over the years, he is still using the skills he learnt as an Army apprentice and he has genuinely enjoyed working for CTS for 38 years.

Andrew, who started as a spray painter working on the conversion of Green Goddesses  to Gritters and also cars including Triumph Acclaims’, Ford Capris and Vauxhall Chevettes, has always been a Fiesta fan – he is currently driving a brand new Ford Fiesta!
